Who the heck?

Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am an artist. For the last two decades, this has largely meant the pursuit of music composition, in which I have a Bachelor’s Degree, and a lot of time spent writing/playing/ and recording in the ambient rock band Glowworm, among others.

In 2021, after getting quite burnt out from music, I rediscovered my childhood love of drawing. In fact, I fell completely in love with it all over again, and felt a real sense of return to my place of deepest connection, one which I had almost entirely parted with in adulthood.

Now, I am hoping to share the joy I have for drawing with you by documenting my journey into art and illustration while reflecting on the creative process, self-teaching, and all the inspiration I find along the way.

You and me, baby! 🦥

In a world full of distractions and algorithms, this newsletter is my attempt to create something simple and meaningful—a way to stay directly connected with you, my readers, friends, and family.

No tech giant stands between us; this newsletter is a direct link from me to you, through your email inbox. It’s my personal hub, a space to house all my creative projects and share what I’m making, thinking, and learning.

It’s also free. Any paid subscriptions are simply for those who would like to go above and beyond in appreciation for my work, and I thank you for your support.

What you can expect:

This is a place for me to experiment, to learn, and to grow while building a thoughtful community. Here’s what I’ll be sharing:

• Ongoing artwork and a look into my daily drawing practice.

• Reflections on life, faith, and creativity. Occasional audio posts.

• Bi-weekly recommendations or sources for inspiration.

• And whatever else emerges as this journey unfolds.

Welcome to the family✨
